 10 Things About Me:

Q. When I need to get away or escape from the hustle and bustle of life, I...

I usually either go fishing, work in my garden or just sit on my patio

Q. Who are the 3 people you most admire, other than Christ? Why? (living or dead)

  1. James Woodward, Dean of Music at Oklahoma Baptist University.  He taught me to do everything with excellence.

  2. Bob Hinson, former Pastor.  He taught me about compassion and how to be a pastor.

  3. Ron Fannin, close friend who always gives good advice and remains a consistent Christian witness.
Q. What's the best or worst advice you have ever received?

Best advice was from Gene Bartlett, former State Convention Music Dir. In Oklahoma.  “Don’t just move to get away from the ‘heat.’  Stick with it!

Q. If they made a movie about your life, what would the title be?

    “Mad Max/Beyond Oklahoma”

Q. What is your favorite scripture / scriptural passage? Why?

Philippians 3.  “I consider everything loss compared to the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord…I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his suffering, becoming like him, even in his death.
This is my life’s prayer

Q. What I like best about living for God is..

Also in Philippians it says…”Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will complete it. “  God consistently works on me and it’s good to know that He will not stop.

Q. What was your first vehicle? (car/truck, year, etc, short comments are cool too)

1966 Ford Mustang.  I wish I still had it.  Actually my first vehicle was an All State motor scooter.  It was about a 1959 model.

Q. As a child, what was your favorite Sunday school story and why?

    David and Goliath…The “kid” won.

Q. What characteristic of each parent do you most hope to emulate?

My dad was an encourager.  I wish I was more of an encourager.
My mom was a great student of the Bible.  I wish I was as great a student as she was.

Q. I'm proudest of FBC because...

They had the foresight to notice the large populations of Sr. Adults in Mountain Home and call a staff member to work specifically with them.
