Eric Slusser, Contemporary Worship Leader



Eric and his wife, Natalie have lived in the Mountain Home area for 8 ½ years. . Eric and Natalie have three wonderful children ages 10, 9 & 5. They joined the First Family in June of 2003 where he began to work part-time as the worship leader for the early service. This grew and in January of 2004 he became full time staff serving as the Contemporary Worship Leader. Music is Eric’s passion and it shows through not only his leading but his writing of new worship songs to share with the congregation. His goal is to lead the congregation to the very feet of Jesus each and every time they come to worship. Natalie is the Director of the First Baptist Weekday Preschool program. She also enjoys serving on the worship team with her husband.

Q. Who are the 3 people you most admire, other than Christ? Why? (living or dead)

  1. My father, Coy Slusser, because no matter what he would always listen and care.
  2. Dr. Bob Magee, college professor, he shined for Christ and pushed me to succeed.
  3. My uncle Eddie is a professional musician... He rocks!

Q. What's the best or worst advice you have ever received?

[BEST] To love and take care of your wife
[WORST] How to manage money... spend spend spend! :-)

Matthew 6:33 This is the first verse I memorized as a kid and it has always been my life verse.

David and Goliath... I always wanted to be like David and take out the giant.
